We
often do not recognize other Christians.
Something about us births suspicion, even rejection of someone we lack a
personal acquaintance, congregational affiliation, or understanding of their faith
walk in Christ. Jesus confronts his
disciples with such a situation:
“Do not stop him," Jesus said. "No one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, for whoever is not against us is for us.” ~ Mark 9:38-41
We that proclaim Christ – as the man overpowering demons, or someone who heals or witnesses or serves in Jesus’ Name – like you, are one in Christ. “You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus,” and the details of nationality, status in life, denomination, or such things we focus on are not important; only our unity in the eternal promise of God (cf. Gal 3:26-29).
Following Christ,
